Great store for an avid reader. Great prices and selection
I went this book shop looking for some Robin Cook novels that I haven’t read yet, and this is the first place in the Joplin/Webb City area that had em! Plus, had a large Brenda Novak and James Patterson collection. Not to mention the plethora of classic books. Some as old as 1812. A very large Oscar Wilde section. they have books for children and teens, cookbooks, Whatever you’re looking for, he’s got it! Best bookshop EVER!
This place is larger than it looks with a large selection to choose from and the best part is the owners seem like great people very helpful I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone and i will shop this store in the again future and make this my go too Book Store.
I love reading. I have a nook, but it’s the same price to purchase books there as it is in person. So Friday I took my sick wee one to check out some books for Momma. We found 3, I finished 600+ pages being sick & taking care of my sweet girl in 2 days! I couldn’t put it down. It felt very good to have a book back in my hands! The service was lovely & friendly & it’s so nice to have a place we don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to enjoy! We will definitely be repeat customers!
This side of the road shop may not look like much from the outside, but as the saying goes: never judge a book by it’s cover. This shop is an absolute treasure trove! From antiques, to mass paper backs, to brand new books, this shop covers history, fiction, mystery, non-fiction, religion, faith, kids, cooking….etc. It is more than worth a stop. We were greatly blessed by not only the books inside, but also by the conversation we had with the owner. I am looking forward to returning and can only highly recommend you make a trip to Always Buying Books.

It has that feeling of home when you walk in the door. Friendly, welcoming staff. Large selection of books, at great prices. What’s not to recommend?
