New books are rotated into the stock regularly. Recent reorganization of the store looks great. If you like piles of books, searching for treasures, and people named Bob – this is the shop for you. Every time I am in Joplin I pick up a stack of delightfully used paperbacks.

It is so good that bookstores like these still exist. Lots of chairs and places to sit. Great service and very helpful folks . I was looking in 4 boxes of books that had just come in. They didn’t scold me because they weren’t priced yet, as has happened in other stores but had me stack them and a gave me a great price for the lot.
This is a VERY nice establishment. the prices are phenomenal and the books are in either New or gently used conditions. there is a wide selection in all genres including many famous and highly acclaimed authors. It is clean and tidy. The gentleman behind the counter is exceptionally kind. Offering my overheated toddler a cold water and applejuice. This is definitely a kid friendly space BUT as with any business you want to keep them with you to respect the space and people in it. It’s a wonderful place! Stop by here before going to Books a Million! you may find the same $27 book for $4 !

It has that feeling of home when you walk in the door. Friendly, welcoming staff. Large selection of books, at great prices. What’s not to recommend?
